English WWFT e-learning module

Training obligation WWFT

top

The Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act (Wwft) imposes the obligation on (among others) tax advisers and accountants to conduct client due diligence and disclose unusual transactions to an appointed reporting body, FIU-Nederland. The Wwft also stipulates that firms must periodically train their employees and managing partners, insofar as this is relevant to their work, so they are capable of recognising an unusual transaction and can fully and completely conduct client due diligence (Article 35 of the Wwft). In principle, this training obligation applies to all NOB members working as tax advisers. The Wwft does not apply to corporate tax consultants.

Updated WWFT e-learning module

top

The NOB, in conjunction with the NBA, developed an e-learning module that enabled members to comply with this training obligation. In 2019 the e-learningmodule Wwft will be revised. The module will be more user friendly then before, the design more contemporary and the content will be adjusted to the legislative changes made in de Wwft in 2018.

Because of the legislative changes it is necessary to do this updated e-learning module, even if you have completed the former e-learning module. The updated e-learning module will be launched on 1 October 2019. From that date on you will be able to register.
